Section 319(h) Nonpoint Source Implementation Grant

Under Section 319(h) of the Clean Water Act, the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) awards a Nonpoint Source Implementation Grant to the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GAEPD) to fund eligible projects, which support the implementation of the Georgia Nonpoint Source Management Program. Section 319(h) Grant funds for the prevention, control, and/or abatement of Nonpoint Sources of Pollution (NPS pollution) are available via competitive process to public agencies in Georgia.

Update June 22, 2011: FY2012 funds are now available. Please use the updated FY2011 grant application and guidance materials for your proposals.  Application deadline is October 31, 2011.

*NEW* Posted Jan. 26, 2011 - The 2006 NPDES General Permit No. GAR000000 for Storm Water Discharges Associated with Industrial Activity will expire on July 31, 2011. EPD is currently revising the existing permit for re-issuance, which is slated for August 2011. Please continue to check EPD’s website to obtain information on the re-issuance process. The 2006 NPDES General Permit No. GAR000000 continues in force and effect until the new general permit is issued. Any permittee who submitted a properly-completed Notice of Intent - Version 2006 or Version 2010 (NOI) form to obtain coverage under the current permit prior to the expiration date will automatically remain covered until the new permit is issued. Existing permitttees will have up to thirty (30) days after the effective date of the new permit to submit an NOI (NOI-Version 2011 only) to obtain coverage under the new permit.
